Breaking the Rules
* If you swear or say something that is against the rules, you will be banned. This means you will not be able to use your account for a period of time – anywhere from 24 hours to forever.
* If you are a member and you are banned, you will not be reimbursed for the time that you were banned.
* A ban can happen automatically, which takes effect instantly, or be assigned by a moderator, which may take a little more time.
How a Penguin is Banned
A penguin can be banned either automatically or by a moderator.
* An Automatic Ban occurs instantly when the player has said one of several flagged bad words.
* A Moderator Ban happens when:
o A player reports another player;
o A record of all conversation at that time in that room is sent to the moderators, including filtered messages;
o A moderator reviews the conversation;
o If the moderator sees bad language or inappropriate behavior, they will ban the guilty penguin 24 hours for a first-time offense or 72 hours for a second or third offense.
o Four or more offenses may result in a permanent ban.
